Hi everyone, Murdoch Police continues to investigate ongoing issues with graffiti vandals.
Recently two juvenile boys residing locally went on an overnight rampage scratching graffiti on most glass services of business premises, and bus stops along South Street. McDonalds O'Connor provided the necessary CCTV footage to identify the first offender. Further investigations identified a second offender responsible for the second 'TAG'. Both offenders were arrested and have been bailed to appear soon at the Fremantle Court. On this one night, the boys raked up a damage bill in excess of $20,000.00. As a highly visible offence, graffiti represents a particularly menacing threat to the quality of life in a community. Working with residents, businesses and community leaders, Murdoch Police will continue its aggressive campaign to identify and hold graffiti vandals accountable.
